Warning: If you corner me and ask me to tell you the story and history of Lighthouse Point be prepared for a long conversation. Sometimes I get the pictures and postcards out and you know what that can be like.

But here is the short version.

Lighthouse Point was purchased 15 years ago from the original family who built it back in 1948, we promised them that we would restore it back to it's original grandeur. It took several years and a big pile of money. We used Lighthouse Point as a corporate retreat for our employees, customers & vendors of a company that I owned at the time; (sometimes my employees needed to get a way from me.) However, we ended up selling that company so we didn't need an employee retreat anymore. So for the next few years our ex-employees, friends, and family visited us, we always had room. That was OK but the property wasn't being used to create anything. I kept thinking "this place is to pretty not to share it, in someway, with others".

That is how we got into the outdoor wedding and reception business.

Weddings are the way we do what our Mothers always told us to do "share your toys," and Lighthouse Point is one of our toys.

We do weddings because they are fun. It's fun to share our special place with you and your guests. It is fun and rewarding to play a part in your special wedding day.

We're not some big corporation where it's all about the money, like most places that are doing weddings and receptions.

For us it's all about making your wedding day unique and memorable. It's about sharing.
