Lighthouse Point is unique, there's no place like it in Northern Michigan for private outdoor weddings and receptions.

One of the unique things about Lighthouse Point is that up to 30 of your friends, or family can stay right on the grounds. We have 4 guest houses nestled within the pine trees and cedar forest that surround the property.

Another unique thing about us is that We only do one wedding and reception each weekend and that is all we do. Imagine the fun everyone will have being together for 3 or 4 days.

Your wedding is a Private Party on our private 18 acre estate for just you and guests to enjoy.

There isn't another wedding starting in 2 hours or several receptions going on in the rooms down the hall.

Lighthouse point, makes sure that your memorable day is yours and yours alone.

Your guests will know the instant they arrived that Lighthouse Point is a place of breathtaking unparalleled beauty. The kind place where movie stars have their weddings.

Your celebration takes place over a few days, so you can enjoy every minute of it, not just a few hours like everywhere else. This adds tons of enjoyment for everyone and makes it less stressful for all.

This is an important event; you should have time to enjoy it.

Lighthouse point, is located just a little further up north of what most consider it to be Northern Michigan.

Situated in Michigan's Upper Peninsula just across the Mackinac Bridge in St. Ignace, is where you'll find it. Just a few miles from Mackinac Island only on the mainland, no confusing boat ride is required for your guests to arrive on time.

Most people don't know it but it takes less time to reach Lighthouse Point in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan than it does the reach Traverse City, Charlevoix or Petoskey from most downstate Metropolitan areas. I'll admit the distance is a little further but the travel time is less. You're on the freeway or interstate most of the time and that's what makes it faster.

Lighthouse Point can accommodate weddings of 200 people or less.

It is open for ceremonies and receptions from Memorial Day through the first weekend of October.

If you're looking for privacy ... Lighthouse Point is your dream come true.

You want a wedding and reception that you and your friends, and family will always remember. Because it was different, fabulous, entertaining and fun for everyone.

How stunning and exquisite is Lighthouse Point? When "The Knot Magazine" had to choose a picture for the cover of their "Guide to Destination Weddings," they could have used a picture from anywhere in the world. The picture they used was taken at Lighthouse Point. I don't even know how The Knot got the picture. But I do know that you can have the same picture in your wedding album if you want.

Lighthouse Point is hidden on the shores of Lake Michigan just a few miles from where Lake Michigan connects with Lake Huron. It sits on 18 beautiful waterfront acres. It has a 165 foot Pier reaching out into Lake Michigan with over 1000 ft. of scenic shoreline. That's almost 1/5 of a mile. There are spectacular Sunrises and stunning Sunsets on the crystal-clear water. The views of the Mackinac Bridge, St. Helena Lighthouse and Island, passing Great Lakes Freighters and Lake Michigan with all her stylish glamour are incredible. Once it gets dark you'll see stars that you didn't know were there and the Milky Way like you've never seen it before.

The natural ambience of the spacious grounds will allow you to spend quality time with the people who are important to you.

Your wedding will be an unforgettable weekend adventure full of FUN in Mackinac.

Create a destination wedding suited to your unique style ... the wedding you dreamed of ... then when you combine the natural unparalleled beauty of mother nature with your imagination and personal touch, Lighthouse Point becomes a one-of-a-kind place that you have created, it can be as exquisite or as casual as you desire.

We've never had two weddings that were like.

When was the last time you sat around the campfire with your friends? That happens almost every Friday night after Rehearsal Dinner at Lighthouse Point. "S'mores" becomes a secret word of the day. It's a good time and lots of fun.

"It's so beautiful here ... This was so unique and so much fun, ... it was a just perfect for these two"

That is what everyone says. I know, I run the shuttle that takes your guests back and forth from the grounds to their cars. I talk with almost everyone as they are leaving. They think I'm the guy you hired to run the shuttle. They have no idea I own the place, so I get to hear all of the compliments.

After celebrating your spectacular wedding day your guests will return home feeling as if they had been on vacation. Your family and friends will be telling everyone, they know, about the wonderful wedding and reception they enjoyed.

Who gets to dance beneath the sparkling night stars, with the moonlight rippling off the water?

Only the guests of the Princess and Prince.

Once you've had your wedding at Lighthouse Point you become part of a small but very special group of people, so far there's only a little over 80 couples. When you're part of a special group you get special treatment so Margaret and I have a special gift for the two of you. One night FREE at Lighthouse Point every year forever (well as long as we own the place) and it has to be in the off season or during the week between Monday and Thursday. But, you'll always be welcome to return to where it all began for the two of you for free. This has become a tradition with some of our former brides and grooms, we see them every year.

You might be wondering where can my guests who can't stay at Lighthouse point stay?

And the answer is:

Within 8 miles of Lighthouse Point, there are Campgrounds, Marinas, and dozens of Hotels and Motels with thousands of rooms to accommodate your guests and their budgets.

Lighthouse Point is open for ceremonies from Memorial Day through the first weekend of October for weddings up to 200 people. Call Jim or Margaret at 906-643-8621 or 810-923-8028 our cell to find out if your wedding date is still available. If it is, schedule a personal tour to view the property, rooms, facilities and amenities as soon as possible.

Remember we only do between 15 and 17 weddings and receptions each summer ... dates vanish quickly so don't wait.

About 40% of our brides booked their date over the phone, site unseen. They know just by looking at the pictures that Lighthouse Point is the venue they've been searching for; privacy, exquisite setting with lush surroundings, and a beautiful view of water that goes on forever. There just aren't any places like lighthouse point out there.

We are now taking reservations for the summer of 2009 and 2010.

PLEASE, respect our guests, their celebrations and privacy during the summer months. DO NOT visit Lighthouse Point without first scheduling an appointment for a personal tour during our wedding season.

We're happy to show you our place and give you all the time you need to ask questions, we know you'll love it. Sunday afternoons or Monday through Wednesday works pretty good for a tour most of the time. But, please schedule an appointment as we sometimes have several brides, viewing the grounds on the same day and we want to get to know you and give you our full attention. Thanks.

If it is past the end of November (winter) Lighthouse Point is closed until May. Margaret and I go to one of our other homes where it is warmer. Sorry we can't show you the place. It is all closed up for the winter. But our pictures tell the stories of our past weddings. All you have to do is add your imagination.
